Mount Zion's Beloved Actor Korede Are 'Baba Gbenro' Passes Away After Prolonged Illness

Korede Are, widely recognized as "Baba Gbenro" from the Mount Zion film series "Abattoir," has passed away. The beloved gospel actor died at the age of 65 after battling liver disease. 

His passing was confirmed by fellow actor Oluwaseun Adejumobi on social media. Korede Are was not only a prominent figure in faith-based films but also a dedicated evangelist, leading the Calvary Movie Drama Ministry in Ogbomosho, Oyo State.

His contributions to Christian drama, alongside renowned figures like Mike Bamiloye, made a significant impact in the Nigerian gospel film industry, inspiring many through his powerful messages of faith​​​​.
